The Chameleon Group, which is behind the Swift’s Attic and Wu Chow restaurants in Austin, has secured prime real estate in central Austin to open a third area restaurant.
Austin-based Highland Resources Inc., the developer of the property, said Thursday that the space is at 3800 N. Lamar at the Lamar Central development, and covers 5,300 square feet of space on the ground floor. The Chameleon Group, based in Austin, signed a 10-year lease.
The group opened its first restaurant, Swift s Attic, in 2012, and its second, Wu Chow, in 2014.
After the success of Swift s Attic, our first restaurant, and the early positive reception of our second concept, Wu Chow, we are thrilled to open our third unique concept in Austin, said Stuart Thomajan of The Chameleon Group in an announcement. Highland Resources has been great in helping turn our vision into a reality; Lamar Central is an ideal location for us.
The group didn’t disclose when the new restaurant will open or how many employees it will have. Other tenants at Lamar Central include Kendra Scott Design, which has chosen that site for its new headquarters space, and Snooze, an eatery featuring all-day brunch.
